Former Partner at Goodwin Procter who as a commercial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience has been a trusted advisor to private equity, venture capital and hedge funds and their portfolio companies. Since 2012, Ed has immersed himself in the Claim Based Funding business developing a sourcing network, refined transaction evaluation and structuring techniques and promoting best practices in the field. Ed is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and Columbia Law School.
Former Chairman & CEO of Paul Hastings who as an acclaimed trial lawyer for Fortune 50 corporations was retained to litigate their most sensitive matters. Steve led the effort to frequently develop Themis’ Case Assessment Manual and implement Themis’ due diligence process based upon his experience developing a litigation pre-assessment program for Paul Hastings’ large clients. Steve is a graduate of Amherst College and Harvard Law School.
Prior roles include Partner at Brera Capital Partners a $680 million private equity fund; Head of Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group, Chief of Staff in Capital Markets and Member of the Fairness Opinion Committee at Deutsche Bank and its predecessor companies and Chairman of GAB Robins, a claims adjusting business. Dana is a graduate of Washington and Lee University and Harvard Business School.
HARRY M. BAUMGARTNER
Experienced litigator with more than 20 years experience in complex commercial matters involving professional liability, insurance coverage, employment and other claims. Prior to his present position as a law firm partner, Harry served as SVP and GC of GAB Robins, an international loss adjusting and claims administration corporation. Before his work with GAB Robins, Harry served in senior risk management capacities with BASF.
